Expectations

Assignments will be written in the planners on a daily basis.



Grades will be sent home after each test and at the end of each quarter in the planner.



Parents are asked to sign the grades after each of these times



Test questions and extra credit will come from the planner. (Example: What was the assignment given on August 30? Use your planner to answer this question.)



Students are welcomed to come before school (7:20-8:00), after school, or during study hall (with a pass) to receive extra help or practice.

7th grade students are focusing on integers and operations with integers. They may not use a calculator for this part of the unit. Later students will be using the Pythagorean Theorm and may use a calculator for figuring square roots. The assessement is over two days, May 25 and May 26.



8th grade students are continuing with their exploration of algebra. This unit they will be working with the distributive property, squaring monomials, and doing operations with polynomials. Their last assessment is on May 26.
